Big Summer Storm Volunteer Cleanup ‘24

Elsah Volunteers were assigned throughout the greater Historic Village for clean-up efforts following the massive storm cell and subsequent flash flooding on July 16. The clean-up team literally got deep into the mud and the muck , cleaning up all kinds of debris and even deploying heavy equipment to dislodge large logs and boulders. Fortunately, storms of this strength are rare, but it always serves as a reminder that Mother Nature calls the shots. It was a colossal effort and truly showcased our spirit as a village. When the going gets muddy, the tough get going.
