Award-winning stage actress Rhonda Brown, who moved to Elsah in 2022 from Colorado, performs the one-woman play RED HOT PATRIOT: The Kick-Ass Witt of Molly Ivins at the St. Louis Fringe Festival on August 13 & 14.  Rhonda sizzles as Molly Ivins, the brassy Texas reporter whose liberal journalism skyrocketed her to the national stage.  This acclaimed show captures the redhead reporter’s indomitable character by weaving personal anecdotes with her colorful takes on national politics. The play celebrates Ivins’ courage and tenacity, even when a divisive America wasn’t listening. Her sharp-tongued humor and unabashed liberal political criticism are as relevant today as ever.
