Peace Works – A Market with a Mission

Peace Works – A Market with a Mission – has officially reopened at 12 Mississippi St in the Village of Elsah.

The fair-trade shop now features several new artists and businesses in its beautiful historic location. Built in 1847, the building was once the Riverside Hotel, an overnight layover for riverboat travelers.

Open Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Peace Works offers:

  • SPLATTER: Artwork in varied mediums, including paintings, textiles, and mixed media by Ellen Connoyer Case.
  • BUENA VISTA ART: Unique jewelry, steampunk lamps, and vintage art pieces by Greg and Janey Brummett.
  • COLUMBIANA COUNTRY STORE: Homemade jellies, jams, salsas, and fresh baked goods by Jodelle Langdon.

Green Tree Inn Antique Room

Located inside the Green Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast at 15 Mill Street. Gary Davis, co-owner of Green Tree Inn, loves to go to auctions and estate sales. His treasures are sold in the Green Tree Inn Antique Room. Some of his current treasures include multiple coffee grinders, stoneware crocks, a variety of cast iron pieces, glassware, gingerbread clocks, and a variety of other items.

Crocker and Springer

Three Rivers Community Farm

Three Rivers Community Farm is a twelve-acre CSA farm nestled behind the small historic town of Elsah, IL. The farm produces a well-stocked stand and carries other local growers’ meat, eggs, fruit, honey, bread, and much more!
