Maintenance position open

The Village of Elsah is looking for a part-time employee to perform light building maintenance and general groundskeeping. We are anticipating the need will be around twenty hours a week. Starting wage is $19.03 per hour. Please address inquiries to [email protected].

2024-25 Village budget committee hearings – Feb. 21

Do you have input or questions on Village matters that require funding? Residents are invited to attend budget hearings on the Village’s FY 2024-25 budget, to be held Feb. 21 starting at 9 am, in the Civic Center (upstairs). Watch the outdoor bulletin board of the Civic Center for posting of times by Committee: Public Works (including maintenance, historic buildings, village enhancement), Public Safety, Museum, Communications and Tourism. There will be a later hearing on April 9, 6:30 pm in the Civic Center on the 2024-25 Village of Elsah Tentative Budget.

The Zoning Board meets the first Thursday of the month, 7 pm. The Trustees meet the second Tuesday of the month, 7 pm. These meetings are open to the public. The Trustees’ agenda is posted on the outdoor bulletin board at the Post Office 48 hours prior to the meeting.
