On Aug. 24, Connie and Gary Davis, owners of the Green Tree Inn, coordinated the Viking tourist arrivals with the Great River Routes and Tourism Bureau. And once again it was a big success, with 129 guests in 3 large buses including a run to Forest Park and the fabulous Chase Park Plaza Hotel. People from all over the world had eyes on Elsah and by the smiles on their faces, it’s fair to say they enjoyed the journey. Once again it was a great opportunity to show off our little slice of paradise. Shout out to the many village volunteers and merchants who made our village shine. Pretty cool place to call home, isn’t it?
