Wedding bells
Resident Donna DeWeese and Dr. Jeffrey (Jeff) Cornelius tied the knot last month with family and friends in attendance. Capt. Bob Phillips conducted the ceremony at Farley’s.
Donna’s dad, Peter Durante of Florida, walked her down the aisle and sang a heart-warming rendition of “I will love you always.” Donna is from New York City and Jeff hails from Swarthmore, PA. Both serve on Historic Elsah Foundation’s board — she as president, he as Treasurer. Jeff is Professor of Chemistry at Principia College and has contributed to the College’s Solar Car success. The couple has purchased and moved into a stone house on LaSalle Street.
Welcome, new neighbors!
It’s a joy to welcome Beth and Patrick Blechle to Elsah. Beth writes,
“We currently live in Grafton and will be using our home in Elsah as
a second home. We love the town and named one of our dogs Elsah!
We have two grown children. I am an Occupational Therapist and Patrick is a Pharmacist.”
