Following the winter hiatus, our lovely museum reopens with a reception on Saturday, April 6, 1-4 pm at 27 La Salle St. From April thru October, we recommend you visit any Saturday or Sunday (same hours) rain or shine. You can see authentic actual relics dating all the way back to the middle 19th century; when our local rivers were the super-highways of their time.  In order to maintain this unique, fascinating museum we invite your donations in any amount to HEF, PO Box 117, Elsah, IL  62028. These donations allowed us to restore the original village bell last year, as it now stands in its own display.
